WHAT WE DO
DGA provides independent expert witness assessments in the areas of family, criminal and civil law. Our experts will complete an assessment, write a report and attend Court.
HOW WE WORK
Central to DGA’s values is the assumption that the reports provided by our experts will influence legal decisions which will have far reaching consequences for the lives of the individuals involved. Because of this, DGA places paramount importance upon providing professionals with appropriate expertise who are able to produce high quality reports in a timely manner.
Psychologists
Because Dr Grange’s own professional training is as a psychologist, DGA only uses psychologists as associates. This is so the expert’s suitability can be appropriately established, which contributes to ensuring high quality professionals are used. Too often, we encounter experts who have strayed beyond their professional expertise – this will not be the case for any expert provided by DGA.
Experience
In addition, the experts must have a background in the NHS, social, prison/probation or educational services. It is our view that this is the only type of background that will provide the necessary experience for completing most types of expert witness assessments.
Safeguarding
Before working for DGA, all the experts must first provide CV’s, references and criminal record checks. A range of other checks also take place during the induction phase.
Quality
Experts joining DGA will receive thorough training, supervision and monitoring for their first few reports according to their needs. Once a satisfactory standard is apparent, reports will continue to be subject to quality control.
